Baby Snakes & The Electric Co. Announce Debut Album Ouroboros, Share First Single “Dark Horse”
Today, Baby Snakes & The Electric Co., the indie/alternative project of producer, engineer, and Modern Electric Sound Recorders founder Jeff Saenz, officially announce their debut album, Ouroboros, arriving October 23 via Spaceflight Records.
A record born from resilience and reinvention, Ouroboros takes its name from the ancient symbol of the snake consuming its own tail—representing cycles, renewal, and transformation. For Saenz, the album marks a personal and creative rebirth, breaking free from the endless cycle of production work to emerge as an artist with a powerful voice, unmistakable vision, and an extraordinary story to tell.
Alongside today’s announcement comes the album’s first single, “Dark Horse.” “This song is about hitting the gas through tragedy, because sometimes the only way out is through,” says Saenz. “Built from the fire you find yourself in after the smoke clears, it’s the moment you look your person in the eye and decide: are we in this together? The answer is an emphatic yes. Take that love and move forward; a clearing always awaits.”
