THE STORY

I wanna rock n roll all night and party every day

…. but that doesn’t pay the bills so I manage bands, do record label consulting, promote shows and events. Oh, and I herd cats.

Ann Arkey is the production company of Tami Thomsen. Tami was the co-founder of Dallas’ Last Beat Record Store, Last Beat Recording Studios and Last Beat Record Label. From there she went on to Kirtland Records releasing records from Toadies, Sarah Jaffe, The Fixx, Bush, Bob Schneider, and Polyphonic Spree among others. During this time she was also a part of Sonar Management and Sonar events co-creating and co-producing events like Dia De Los Toadies, Smoked Dallas and Taco Libre. She has been working in many areas of the music industry from retail to recording studio with extensive label experience especially in the areas of publicity, booking, marketing and management. Currently she runs Ann Arkey Productions who provide management for Toadies and Sarah Jaffe and consulting for Kirtland Records, State Fair Records and others

She served two terms as an elected Governer in the Texas Chapter of the Recording Academy and currently is board member for Booker T Washington Performing and Visual Arts High School’s Advisory Board, creative’s mental health organization, Foundation 45 and The Dallas Music Office.
