Sam Cormier grew up as a lonely gay kid in Dallas, TX, writing songs instead of making friends. About three years ago, those songs started to find their voice. Now, Sam is a singer and producer, creating music for his 12-year-old self, hoping it brings comfort to others too. “dirtyu” is a song about mistakes—about finally realizing what you want, only to mess it up in the same moment. It’s both tragic and oddly uplifting. “It’s some of the most honest lyrics I’ve ever written over a fire beat perfect soundtrack for ruminating on all your mistakes, going on a walk to clear your mind, and cleaning up your room, damnit.” Cormier’s single will be released on State Fair Record’s Swipe Right Singles Club on September 17th along with a single release show at LadyLove Lounge in Dallas, TX.
