Celebrating the 25th anniversary with a first time on vinyl release.
Today Interscope and Toadies annouce the first ever vinyl pressing of Hell Below / Stars Above. Originally released on March 20, 2001, Hell Below / Stars Above is Toadies highly underrated follow up to their breakthrough 1994 album, Rubberneck. The album showcases guitar-driven post-grunge sound with tracks like “Push the Hand” and “Plane Crash”, as well as more moody, introspective songs such as “Pressed Against the Sky” and “Doll Skin” The album even features Elliott Smith on piano for the title track.
Toadies guitarist Clark Vogeler says “I’m always surprised just how many fans rate this as our best album. And it’s the only one of our albums that hasn’t yet appeared on vinyl, so it’s become a sort of holy grail for a lot of them.”
Mastered for vinyl from 192 kHz, 24-bit hi-res tape transfers by Levi Seitz at Black Belt Mastering, Hell Below / Stars Above will be released Oct. 2, 2026.
