Dallas/Fort Worth based singer/songwriter Paul Schalda announces, Lately (Companions,) a special digital deluxe of his debut solo effort on Skylark Soul Co, with the release of “Between Two Cities” today.
The new single was written shortly after Schalda moved into a new place in Fort Worth, “Skin (Jeff “Skin” Wade , co-founder of Skylark Soul Co. and producer) had asked me to think about the idea of what it is like to live ‘between two cities’ and maybe write a song with that theme. I was sitting in my living room looking outside my window, which actually is looking directly at train tracks moving in opposite directions,” says Schalda “Something about hearing the train go by at all times brought me back to NYC and it made me feel even more at home.”
The new special digital deluxe version, Lately (Companions), will feature four new tracks, including “Between Two Cities” and an alternate version of “Anything for Your Love” featuring Adrian Quesada who co-wrote and produced the track for Paul. Listen here.
