Texas transplant troubadour Paul Schalda is back with a bold new remix of “Can You See Yourself With Me,” a standout track from his critically acclaimed debut solo album Lately. Out now the remix drops courtesy of Silver Skylarks and Skylark Soul Co. and features the legendary Inspectah Deck of Wu-Tang Clan, with scratching from GRAMMY® Award-winning DJ Menace (BranooFunck).
The result is a psychedelic, funk-soaked hip-hop rework of the original earworm. Dusty beats, a bouncy bassline, and fuzzy guitar lines anchor Schalda’s melodic vocal harmonies before Deck drops in with a verse about long-lasting love—two Staten Islanders ruminating on affairs of the heart. The Skylarks crew adds throwback 90s trip-hop dub textures for good measure. Heavy sounds, deep vibes.
